Life as it comes everyday...

The previous post was written 6 months ago but I could not publish it until now. Hence full six months have passed and here I am in Dubai for the second half of my GMBA(Global MBA). Life seems to have taken another turn for me as for a guy who hasn't stepped out of his country even once and changing countries every six months is a huge change. After completing my stint in Singapore, here I am in the city of Gold, city of opportunities, city of Dubai.

The specialization of MBA has begun. We are focusing ourselves into IT management and life is becoming trickier by the day. I am here at a point in my life where I need to make one the most important decisions of my life. Weather to take up job here in Dubai or go back to India or go to a different county all together? Which carrier path to choose? Which company to target, an Indian company or an MNC? These seems to be rather straight forward questions but each and every one of them have a far deeper impact and implications could be grave. Besides those life's cool not much studies these days and for a change we are having a LOT of free time (which is very strange as compared to where we are coming from...). But the problem is that at this point of time in my life, I feel like in a state of suspended motion. Right now I am in the state of hibernation and waiting for the right time and opportunity.

Life is a bit too unpredictable to predict. Eight months ago, even in my wildest of dreams I wouldn't have had dreamt being in Dubai doing my MBA amongst the sand dunes and oil wells. But this has been a wonderful learning experience for me so far and I do not regret even a single move or step that I have taken so far.

My first Blog

This being my first blog so I am pretty excited about it, 'excited' not just for the blog but for life as a whole. I recently took admission in the SPJain Center of Management, Singapore and life has taken a 180 degree turn since then. A lot has happened since a last few days.. quit my job, took a hefty laon, changed cities and then changed countries and here I am in Singapore, one of the worlds most beautiful, well organized, sofisticated, tech-savvy, advanced, fast mooving, clean, well cultured.... cities. It truely is a wonderful palce to be and if you are doing your MBA program, it makes it even more interesting as it as so much for everyone. A land of opportunities.
And then beging the course and then begin a new life in a new year and in an entirely new environment... and lifes takes a turn days become longer and longer and nights shorter by the passing day and hence the sleep becomes inversely proportional to the number of assignments and the number of group works and the number of tests that you get. But its pretty exciting to be in such an environment and perform with an ever competing group of fellow students. Each and evey one is different in his or her respect and one can learn so much from each and every one of them only if one listens to one another but the problem is that everyone thinks himself/herself of the CEO of the organization. Keeping that apart, its a very competetive environment to live in. With each and everyone putting their best efforts and trying to outperform the others. But its fun to be with such people as you tend to learn a lot form such people. So thats how life is in a B school with work work and more work but that doesnt mean that theres nothing else. Theres 'fooseball' of ease the tention and make people relax. Everyday we have 3-4 hours of fooseball sessions with has simply become the biggest sports phenomenon of the hostel life. People are absolutely crazy bout it and are even willing to stand for hours to have just one shot with the ball... Then there is cricket which we play inside the campus or even in the lobby and we also have a basketball court where one can go and burn those calaries of theirs...
